Ford Motor Company of Canada Limited, Canada’s longest-established automaker, has partnered with WE Charity and WE Day as our National Automotive Partner. Committing to Go Further and drive the partnership through a number of programs, Ford of Canada is sponsoring WE Day in all national cities; delivering a series of millennial summits known as Drivers of Change Workshops; acting as the official Co-Title Sponsor of the We Create Change Tour, Spencer West’s cross-country initiative in 2014; and rallying their Dealers to raise donations in support of local food banks through We Scare Hunger, a WE Schools action campaign. B. is a brand-new brand of toys from family-run, Montreal-based manufacturer Battat, Inc., that believes all children of the world deserve a chance at childhood. How perfect that a toy bought for a child on this end of the planet can help a child far away, who by mere stroke of fate is substantially less fortunate. WE Charity’s model of empowering children to help other children parallels B.’s beliefs completely––that children are powerful beyond measure, that all their voices should be heard. One of the largest and fastest-growing virtual worlds for children, Club Penguin is known as a trusted provider of safe, family fun. The virtual world of Club Penguin contains no third-party advertising and is free to use and enjoy, however a subscription membership provides access to additional features. Club Penguin works hard to foster a culture of giving, and part of the proceeds from each membership purchase supports efforts to improve the lives of children and families around the world.

MTV’s continued partnership with WE Day reinforces its unique mandate to tell the stories of young amazing lives from a distinctly Canadian perspective, and represents CTV’s commitment to socially relevant programming fostering change. MTV and CTV are divisions of Bell Media, which is part of BCE Inc. (TSX, NYSE: BCE), Canada’s premier multimedia company.


WE Charity and DocuSign have teamed up for an exciting three-year partnership. In our ongoing effort to minimize our carbon footprint and maintain (and desire to reduce) our 10% administrative rate, WE Charity will be replacing a number of manual, paper based-methods of business transactions with DocuSign’s e-Signature solution. This unique partnership with DocuSign will empower WE Charity to streamline and expedite the signing process; decrease contract cycle times; provide partners with a safe, secure and auditable platform for e-Signature use; reduce administrative costs associated with express shipping of important documents; reduce paper and energy consumption and verify volunteer hours on WE365. Using DocuSign also saves time, allowing WE Charity to focus on its core mission.

Fossil Foundation

In December 2014, Fossil Foundation partnered with WE Charity to launch a social enterprise and entrepreneurial training program in indigenous communities in Ecuador, as well as to implement an innovative social enterprise curriculum in schools across North America, with technological connections to the programming in Ecuador. WE Charity is incredibly proud to collaborate with the Fossil team on these transformative programs to empower community members with economic self-sufficiency, while engaging young people domestically to unleash their potential and become agents of positive change. Together, we are achieving our shared goals and creating tangible, lasting impacts in the lives of many.

Investors Group

Investors Group takes its responsibilities as a corporate citizen to heart. As a founding member of Imagine Canada and as one of Imagine’s “Caring Companies”, the efforts of Investors Group consultants, employees and retirees in supporting volunteerism exhibits their strong corporate culture of caring for communities across Canada. Since August 2007, Investors Group has supported the Canadian Take Action Leadership Academies and speaking tours reaching thousands of youth across Canada.

Jeunesse Kids

Jeunesse Kids partnered with WE Charity in December 2014, to spearhead our international development projects and programs in Dao Lazui, China. In spring 2015, Jeunesse committed to contributing to a new community in Irkaat, Kenya and have most recently, have made a committed to a third partner community in Ecuador. Jeunesse is dedicated to creating a positive impact in the lives of children worldwide, with the goals to release children from poverty, bring education and healthcare to children, and end childhood exploitation. Together in our partnership, we have achieved tangible milestones and improved the lives of community members across the globe. We are proud to be partnered with Jeunesse Kids in making the world a better place.


KPMG in Canada provides audit, tax, and advisory services and is a member firm of KPMG International. As part of KPMG’s Community Leader Strategy, KPMG has entered a three-year partnership to contribute to WE Charity’s international programming, as well as support youth engagement in local communities. Through WE Charity and WE Day programs, employees are able to engage their children in social issues and learn how to make a difference in their communities. And through ME to WE Volunteer Trips, employees have the opportunity to participate in international volunteer activities in WE Charity partner communities.

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar has been a proud sponsor since the first WE Day in 2007. David Aisenstat, President and CEO of The Keg, generously offers his time to the organization and played a vital role in bringing WE Day to the greater Vancouver area. He has also served as the Co-Chair of WE Day Toronto for a number of years. The Keg graciously hosts receptions for the speakers and performers who take the stage at WE Day. Keg staff members also volunteer at WE Days across Canada. WE Charity is also supported by The Keg Spirit Foundation, which concentrates on supporting charities that focus on the development of children and youth with a specific goal of recognizing organizations that mirror the mentorship that The Keg has provided to so many young people since 1971. To date, The Keg Spirit Foundation has raised more than $7 million for over 300 charities across North America. The Keg Spirit Foundation proudly supports the work of WE Charity, WE Day and WE Schools in a variety of ways, including the support of curriculum development, the WE Schools Educators’ Resource Guide, and helping fund WE Villages international development programming in a partner community in Kenya.

ME to WE

ME to WE is an innovative social enterprise that empowers people to make better choices for a better world. Every product sold makes a tangible, life-changing impact in a developing community overseas, from school supplies to clean water and medical care. ME to WE supports WE Charity’s holistic and sustainable international development model that works to remove barriers to education and to empower communities overseas to break the cycle of poverty. Our Generation

Our Generation, another brand from family-run, Montreal-based Battat, is a whole lot bigger than its 18″ dolls. Our Generation is girls growing up together and creating the narrative of their own, extraordinary generation. It’s characters who become best friends and role models. It’s eco-friendly packaging for a generation that wouldn’t accept anything less. It’s OG girls helping those who are less fortunate because they want to and they know they can. The Government of Ontario is a valued partner of WE Charity in both the successful implementation of WE Day as well as in engagement of schools through the WE Schools program.

Otto Bremer Foundation

The Otto Bremer Trust is a longstanding champion of helping to build healthy, vibrant communities—communities where basic needs are met, mutual regard is prized and opportunities for economic, civic and social participation are within everyone’s reach. As the co-title sponsor of WE Schools in Minnesota, the Otto Bremer Trust provides thousands of students and educators with access to free WE Schools campaign materials, staff resources, outreach speeches, educator development sessions and much more.

Peter Golgan foundation

The Peter Gilgan Foundation is a charitable family organization based in Toronto. Established by Peter Gilgan, the founder and CEO of Mattamy Homes, the foundation is committed to creating meaningful and lasting change for families around the world. Their partnership with WE Charity was solidified after the Gilgans took a life-changing family trip to Kenya where they had the opportunity to visit a partner community that they had supported. Their involvement with WE Charity is their first venture into international development and their support has allowed us to achieve tremendous heights as we expand our partnership with the Maasai people into Tanzania’s Arusha region. Without the Peter Gilgan Foundation, a trusted friend and founding partner, none of this would be possible. We are profoundly grateful to them for their visionary commitment to our work.

JM Smucker

The J.M Smucker Company is committed to doing the right thing beyond the workplace, extending this into the communities where they live and work. Their purpose is to bring families together to share memorable meals and moments, and what better way to do this then over baking. Robin Hood® and WE Charity have teamed up to encourage families across Canada to hold bake sales to raise money for a good cause. The money raised at these bake sales supports WE Charity’s development programming around the world. Robin Hood and WE Charity believe that “Together, we can bake a difference!”

Staples Canada

Staples Canada with WE Charity and ME to WE are passionate about helping to fulfill the dream of education for students in every corner of the world. Together, our organizations have teamed up to make it easier for teachers in Canada to encourage change by empowering students to take global action. Every product purchased from ME to WE and Staples’ line of eco-friendly school supplies contributes to breaking down barriers to education overseas. Purchases support the provision of notebooks, pencils, clean water and health care to children in WE Charity partner communities.


Sobeys, WE Charity and WE Day— through its WE Schools program—have established an important partnership to improve the way in which Canadian youth choose to eat and act. By equipping young people with food skills and nutrition literacy, the Better Food Fund will empower students to make healthy choices, gain essential food and cooking skills and channel their healthy energy towards creating positive local and global change. The program serves to educate young people about how making smart food choices can set them up for lifelong health and well-being.

Skoll Foundation

The Skoll Foundation drives large-scale change by investing in, connecting and celebrating social entrepreneurs and other innovators dedicated to solving the world’s most pressing problems. The Skoll Foundation invests in social entrepreneurs through the Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship, a three-year award supporting the continuation, replication or extension of programs that have proved successful in addressing a broad array of critical social issues. Since receiving the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship in 2007, WE Charity has been able to expand our organizational presence in the United States.

Unstoppable Foundation

The Unstoppable Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to bringing education and sustainability to people in developing nations. They inspire and empower individuals and groups to give and raise money to fund projects consistent with their mission. They then work with in-country partners with proven track records to implement the projects. The Unstoppable Foundation has been a supporter of WE Charity since 2008, helping to build over 53 school rooms in Kenya and sending hundreds of children to school every day.

Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic’s active sustainability program, “Change is in the Air” focuses on both environmental and social justice issues. Virgin Atlantic is passionate about supporting sustainable community development in the communities to which they fly and is extremely proud to be working with WE Charity to support long-term sustainable change in their destinations. As the largest drug retailing chain in the U.S., Walgreens champions everyone’s right to be happy and healthy. Through a three-year partnership sponsoring WE Day and WE Schools, Walgreens is inspiring youth to champion happiness and health for themselves and for their communities. Check out the We Are Love, a WE Schools action campaign, to find out how Walgreens is advocating for youth to demonstrate gratitude in their schools and households. The campaign motivates youth to display acts of appreciation for their peers, teachers, families and themselves.


As Canada’s most-preferred airline, WestJet is powered by an award-winning culture of care. Together, through the WestJet Cares for Kids program, WestJet provides WE Charity with the gift of flight to fly students from rural communities to WE Days across Canada.
